Jesus comes to communion: a meal from the Lord; Jesus’ body and blood; proclaiming his death until he comes again. Then he says it’s “for you.” That makes this meal not some symbolic story. It’s Father and Son making a deal: “Father, accept my body and blood in place of theirs.” In place of your body and blood. The death owed for your sins.
