1Cor 12:12;19-21 (NLT): One Body with Many Parts
12 The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ.
19 How strange a body would be if it had only one part! 20 Yes, there are many parts, but only one body. 21 The eye can never say to the hand, “I don’t need you.” The head can’t say to the feet, “I don’t need you.”
Together, we form up a place for God to inhabit
Yet you are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel. (Psalm 22:3, ESV)
Together, we demonstrate unity. Ps 133 (ESV)
A Song of Ascents. Of David.
133 Behold, how good and pleasant it is
when brothers dwell in unity![a]
2 It is like the precious oil on the head,
running down on the beard,
on the beard of Aaron,
running down on the collar of his robes!
3 It is like the dew of Hermon,
which falls on the mountains of Zion!
For there the Lord has commanded the blessing,
life forevermore.
