This morning we discuss, with humility and grief, the friendly fire killing by IDF soldiers of 3 Israeli hostages in Gaza last Friday. We express our deepest condolences to the three families, for whom Friday should have been a day of celebration, but was turned to shock, tragedy, and anger. We discuss the preliminary reactions of the IDF and how to move forward, and we explore the honest article by Michael Oren, discussing his own experiences with friendly fire, which accounts for approximately 20% of all casualties in all wars.
