This morning we mourn the tragic loss of life in Texas, and specify US Republican senators, who continue to single-handedly obstruct meaningful laws to reduce these repeated tragedies, in defiance of the will of a clear majority of Americans, the US Congress, and the US President, all of whom want to reduce massacres inflicted by (largely unregulated) people with legally owned guns which have no legitimate purpose, other than to massacre humans. "May God be near the broken-hearted and save those crushed in spirit, because they are going to need a lot of help, and a lot of our prayers." And we discuss the curious conclusion to the frightening Torah portion this week, B'Chukosai, and share an insight to the unusual method of donating funds to the Temple, based on recognizing the innate beauty and worth of every person. And we quote Rabbi Yekusiel Halberstam, the Klausenberger Rebbe, on the one sin committed by Jews during the Holocaust, for which we must repent.
