This morning we discuss the sensitive topic of Infertility in light of Jewish Law and Values. We discuss the contours of the formal commandment to "try to" have children, the nobility of trying to overcome obstacles and difficulties for this goal through medical intervention, and the rare cases when the risk and danger require us to re-direct our energy and goals, as heartbreaking as this may be. This is a subject which requires the greatest Medical and Halachic expertise, combined with the utmost sensitivity, and recognition that every woman, and every circumstance is unique. May the prayers of every one of us be answered by God Who gives life!
