116. Breaking the Stigma: Why Investing Can Be a Spiritual Act of Stewardship
In this episode of Wisdom's Table, I, Rachel Wortman, dive into the often complex and emotionally charged topic of investing. We explore the multifaceted nature of investing, addressing the excitement, fear, and even guilt that can accompany discussions about wealth-building, especially within a Christian context. Many of us have been taught that accumulating wealth is not spiritual, but I challenge that notion by highlighting biblical principles that encourage us to multiply what we have rather than bury it.
We begin by discussing the concept of "bread and seed" from 2 Corinthians 9:10, emphasizing that God provides for our immediate needs (the bread) while also giving us resources (the seed) to invest for future growth.
