Sugar has received a lot of attention in the last few years. Is it bad for us? And what is it exactly? Is there a difference between sugar in fruit and sugar in soft drinks? The answer is yes. Sugar in fruit is called fructose and it is suggested that it is consumed in moderation.... while sugar in chocolate is called sucrose and should be avoided.
Sarah Wilson joins us today to discuss her journey of quitting sugar, a substance which she describes that can be more addictive than drugs. Three years ago she says she would have described herself as a 'sugar addict' eating the equivalent of 25 teaspoons per day. This led to a lifetime of health issues, fluctuating weight, mood disorders and aggravated her autoimmune thyroid disease. Sarah goes through the 'I Quit Sugar' journey with us. Both interesting and informative... and will definitely change the way that you look at sugar!
