“If you're using a strong serum, you need to be using a gentle cleanser and you need to make sure your moisturizer is also gentle and doesn't also have a retinol in it. You have to be very careful with the other products that you're using,” says celebrity esthetician Shani Darden, whose clients include Jessica Alba, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and Shay Mitchell.
