Ligaya Lange gave birth to her daughter during COVID following a traumatic 54 hr/C-section birth. A few weeks later, she realized she was suffering from very bad anxiety that was preventing her from bonding with her baby. And so began a long and arduous journey to find the right treatment and get well for her family.
In our conversation, we talk about the differences between standard anxiety and postpartum anxiety, how it can prevent proper bonding with baby, the signs and symptoms women can be on the lookout for, and what their first steps should be when seeking treatment.
