Most people have morning
routines. They do the same things every morning. Other people don't have a routine. For those people every morning is different.
We all have some things
in common (the same as another person or people) about starting our day. Everyone
wakes up (stops sleeping
) , and then they
get up (get out of bed). Latonya and Diana both get up around 7 o'clock in the morning. They are both
"early birds" (people who like to get up early in the morning). They have that
in common. They aren't
night owls (people who stay up late at night and sleep later in the morning).
We don't all get up in the morning. Some people work the afternoon or night shift. We sometimes call the
night shift the
graveyard shift. (A graveyard is another word for
cemetery, where people are
buried after they
pass away {die]). People who work the night shift go to bed in the morning and get up in the afternoon. Latonya
worked the night shift for many years.
After people wake up they usually
brush their teeth,
fix their hair,
take a shower and
eat their breakfast.
This morning both Latonya and Diana
woke up at about 7:00 and
got up right away. Then they
brushed their teeth,
took a shower,
fixed their hair and
ate breakfast.
