The phrase “Heavenly Man” is found in the writings of Philo of Alexandria and is later used by Paul in his letter to the Corinthians (1 Cor. 15:44-49).

Genesis 1:26 tells us that humanity – the first Adam – is made in the image of God. Yet God has no image. How is this possible?

The Jewish mystics resolve enigma through the notion of the "Heavenly Man"—a divine archetype that serves as the original template for humanity.
