Hey Intentional Wellness Warrior!
I thought about this word and action we do often in nursing…priming. We prime tubing with saline to prepare it for the solution we intend to get to the patient. You are making something ready for use by priming it.
Let's relate this to our minds. Yes, we have stressful jobs in healthcare, but are we unintentionally priming your mind for stress and anxiety? Are we setting ourselves up to fail or succeed?
Most of the time I think we un- intentionally- prime our minds for stress. And there are 2 main times we are doing this. Oops! Let's look into how we are priming our minds.
