Oscar Brückner (1857-1930)
A short biographical sketch from "Cellists of the Present: In Word and Picture", Hamburg 1903.
Hear about his life and appointments as cellist. He wrote a little bit of music. I've recorded Nocturne Op. 37 for Cello and Piano, and 20 Short Studies for Cello, Op. 30. The Nocturne is certainly worth the effort to learn. Charming and full of neat surprises. The Studies are worthy to be included in a student's satchel of Etudes.
Thanks for listening and for more information, more action, more "Forgotten Cello Music", check out other podcast episodes and my other Social Media as well.
