2-2. The Cow (Al-Baqarah الْبَقَرة) verses 30 to 60
This episode contains verses 30 to 60 of Surah Al-Baqarah. In this episode, we will hear of God's giving honour to Adam, the first human creation on earth and his temptation and fall. We will also hear of Allah's advice to the Israelites and his favours upon them; such asHonour, Ending persecution, Parting the Sea, Forgiving calf-worship, The way to forgiveness, Food & shade, Permission to enter Jerusalem and Water for all.

This Medinian sûrah, which takes its name from the story of the cow in verses 91–121, details the main concepts of the previous sûrah, with emphasis on the qualities of the believers, disbelievers, and hypocrites; Allah’s power to create and resurrect; the enmity of Satan towards Adam and his descendants; as well as Allah's covenant with Moses and the Children of Israel. Several rulings are given in regards to marital, relationships, bequest, jihad, fasting, pilgrimage, donations, debts, and interest. Unlike the next chapter, which focuses on the Christian perception of Jesus, this sûrah dedicates a sizable portion to Jewish attitudes and practices.
