<p>
In Group R occupancies, sprinklers are not required in bathrooms that meet all of the following conditions:</p>
<ul>
 <li>Do not exceed 55 square feet in area.</li>
 <li>Located within individual dwelling units or sleeping units.</li>
  <li>Walls and ceilings, including those behind a shower or tub, are made of noncombustible or limited-combustible materials with a 15-minute thermal barrier rating.</li>
</ul>
