It was beyond her wildest dreams but it all came right for Carlow rower, Sadhbh Scully, at the 2023 National Rowing Championships in Cork in July where she was part of the University of Limerick ladies rowing team which clinched an historic senior eight ladies title, intermediate eight and senior quad golds.
The following week she won her first senior cap for her country when she rowed for Ireland in the Home International Rowing Regatta in Leitrim.
It has been an interesting journey for Sadhbh and here she talks about the ups and downs which propelled her towards that historic weekend at the National Rowing Centre, Farran Wood in Cork.
