“If you're searching for these aesthetic goals, yes, you may achieve them in the short term, or you may not, genetics are strong. But with that, it's like a fight that you're just going to keep fighting and keep fighting and eventually lose. It can turn into this really big obsession with this outward goal that you can easily shift into an inward goal and feel so much more fulfilled.” - Allison Crawford

In this episode, Katy welcomes Allison Crawford, also known as @not.your.mamas.body.image on Instagram. She’s also a certified personal trainer, a certified group fitness instructor, and a yoga teacher. Through her content and work, Allison wants to help others shift their mindset when it comes to body acceptance. This includes doing away with “aesthetic” goals, changing the language we use when talking about our bodies and other people’s bodies, and inviting healthier and more meaningful conversations about body image.
