As Benedictine monks, hospitality is part of the rule of life by which they live. Before I was a monk I didn't know much about hospitality and what it really meant. For monks, it means showing honor to all guests no matter, race, ethnicity, gender, or social class. An old wise monk once described it to me as rolling out the red carpet for anyone the comes into our home. You can do this by sharing a meal. Meals in monastic tradition are very sacred and intimate moments you share with the other person. When you invite someone over to your house rolling out the red carpet means having the best foods, the best drinks, and genuinely being interested in their life. Hospitality is rolling out the red carpet for someone that enters your home and not expecting anything in return. This is how love is shown to others. Do this and see if your relationships improve. https://MonkMindset.com
