She recounts how a tabloid newspaper war of the time exploited the story’s elements of nudity, sex, and adultery,and how the mystery deepened due to the strange way the bodies were covered (a fact only resolved with a deathbed confession).  The deaths were labeled “unnatural” until a 2006 documentary uncovered new details, a third-hand eyewitness account, and eventually a surprising, but mostly natural, culprit.
