The Good Doctors with Dr Ron Ehrlich and Dr Michelle Woolhouse

48: Diabetes: A Guide to Understanding Diabetes | Dr Gary Deed

Listen Later

Diabetes has reached epidemic proportions. This is a huge topic and a huge public health problem. In today's episode Dr Gary Deed joins us as we discuss what is diabetes? What is glucose? What does this mean for an individual?

The aim for this show was to encourage early detection for those that may be at risk. Encourage check-ups for earlier diagnosis... as it is that easier to prevent.  Apparently 50% of people with diabetes are undiagnosed. We will also be discussing the impact of insulin, the difference between type 1 and type 2 diabetes. The prevalence of diabetes, how to avoid it, treatment as well as reversal.

As always, we hope this episode empowers you with information to take control of your health.

Gary will also be speaking at the upcoming Bioceuticals Symposium. More information here.
