Much of what the Apostle Paul preached in his day was more relevant in dealing with the evils existing amidst the churches he started than that which existed in the days of the Prophets. What was written in the past is the foundation upon which we stand, but metaphorically, the foundation cannot cover us from the elements. Present truth forms the walls and roof of Christ's 21st-century church to protect us from today's storms of idolatry and iniquity. Modern Christians face evils that no other time in history faced.
