Alex Elle is the author of multiple books and journals including “After the Rain”, “Neon Soul” and “Today I Affirm: A Journal That Nurtures Self-Care.” Alex provides a safe space for healing and understanding through writing retreats and workshops and has built a social media community of nearly a million followers.
To deal with depression and explore healing, Alex found writing as her refuge. Now a mother of three children, Alex continues to use her vocation to help people find their voices through self-care practices that involve storytelling, poetry and narrative writing.
In this episode, I talk to Alex about my own pluck ups, particularly with the issue of equity and diversity. We go deep into what makes a real leader, reacting versus responding, and how to release some of the shame that comes with stumbling and messing up -- because let’s face it, we don’t always get it right.
