Tonight I am reading stories from Liminal Earth, a website where people submit their first-hand paranormal experiences and tag the location where the experience occurred. All the stories in this episode take place in Ohio, so I’m joined by Ohio ghostlore author and expert Chris Woodyard. In addition to reading several experiences, we take a dive into legends of women in white, ghostly dogs, and disembodied hands while we take a virtual drive around the buckeye state.

Chris Woodyard is an Ohio-based writer and historian of death and supernatural folklore. She is the author of nine books on Ohio ghost-lore, the Haunted Ohio series, as well as three volumes on historical ghost stories and A is for Arsenic: An ABC of Victorian Death, on the basics of mourning traditions and artifacts, and The Victorian Book of the Dead, on the material culture of Victorian mourning and death. Her chapter on fairy changeling belief in North America will be included in upcoming book, The Exeter Companion to Changelings, Exeter University Press, 2025. She co-hosts the Boggart and Banshee podcast with Dr Simon Young.
