Lot’s wife is one of the most tragic characters you’ll read of in your Bible. She shows the danger of “lingering” in sin. Even as angels tried to pull her to safety, her divided heart caused her to look back toward Sodom. Judgment caught her in an instant, forever memorializing her as a warning of what happens to those who have “Heaven within their grasp, but Hell in their heart.”
