In John 5:1-15, we learn from a man that was ill for 38 yrs until Jesus notices him and his condition. Before he heals him he asked him, "Do you want to be made well?" Jesus not only healed his external infirmity but also his soul internally.

We get accustomed to things being just the way they are that we don't see a better way. Jesus wants to heal us completely making us whole. Jesus is the Way the Truth and the Life and provides us with "A Better Way."
