Hiding place is by far better, but this too was good
Hiding place is by far better, but this too was good!!! Still, if you can read Corrie Ten Boon's Hiding Place!!!
A Must Read!
I had the pleasure and honor to meet the author, Stan Rubens, at a book signing recently and purchased his book as a show of support. Little did I realize at that time, that this book would change my life and provide answers to questions that I had as a Jewish child growing up in America that were never answered by my own family. Mr. Rubens has told an amazing story of courage, resilience and fortitude that people in this country would be wise to read. I was captivated by the content and couldn't and wouldn't put the book down until I was finished. I am purchasing multiple copies to give to my friends and family in the hope that it has the same emotional impact on them as it did on me. As a fellow author, I salute Mr. Rubens' effort and believe that this book should be mandatory reading for everyone so that the message is never lost on future generations.

I met the author and both he and his story are an inspiration to me. Despite everything that happened, he remains a positive person. I hope if I am ever faced with such difficult circumstances that I can remain as strong as he and his family did. I was touched by his father's constant efforts to keep his family safe and alive
Great insight on a Jewish child's life under Naziism
I enjoyed reading the actual situation this young boy experienced while in hiding, along with his thoughts at the time. It was also interesting to read how his outlook changed regarding the adults around him, as he looks back from his standpoint as an adult.
The book could have been improved by having an editor go through to catch the occasional misspelling or incorrect word (due to spell check it appears).
