The American University of Sharjah (AUS) is one of the Middle East's pioneering universities working to raise its environmental credentials, with the last 12 months seeing the university achieve a number of sustainability-related successes. AUS is committed to ensuring its students are at the forefront of its environmental advocacy, championing environmental causes that have impact beyond the campus. As we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of International Earth Day, Sally spoke to Rose Armour, the Director of Sustainability at AUS, and asked her about the vision that her department has not only for the students, but for the future of the UAE.
