Welcome back to A Pod of Their Own, a show by the women of Amazin’ Avenue where we talk all things Mets, social justice issues in baseball, and normalize female voices in the sports podcasting space. 

This week, we begin by discussing all the latest pitching injuries while hoping for the best with Marcus Stroman. We try to come up with possible trade targets and found out that the Pirates should be avoided at all costs.

Next, we talk about the pine tar pat downs and the gamesmanship between Joe Girardi and Max Scherzer. We then discuss the shameful way minor leaguers are treated when a team didn’t know where they were going to sleep and debated about sleeping in their cars.

We move on to the Seventh Inning Stretch where we answer a thought exercise from a listener. Would we trade Jacob deGrom for five players who would guarantee the Mets make the World Series four times in the next eight years?

Finally, we wrap things up with Walk-off Wins, where each of us talks about what’s making us happy this week, baseball-related or otherwise.
