In this episode of The Daryl Perry Podcast, I talk about what it really means to be accountable to yourself and selective with who has access to your life. True accountability starts with being able to look yourself in the eye and take ownership of your choices. You can have support, you can have connections, and you should, but your foundation has to come from you. When you build that connection, you are better equipped to decide who gets access to you and to what level.
I also dive into why most people should not have front row seats to your life. You are not responsible for their opinions and they are not entitled to your inner world. At the same time, isolating yourself is not the answer either. We are meant to have meaningful relationships, but they need to be the right ones. Being accountable to yourself helps you identify those people and build the kind of life that feels grounded, empowering, and aligned with who you are.
