In which I meet up with Tom Sawyer again and we hatch a plan involving a borrowed trunk and a secret we must keep close to our chests, while our arrival at Aunt Sally's stirs curious commotion and the usual Southern hospitality. Later, we witness a rough crowd's harsh treatment of two poor fellows, leaving me to ponder the curious ways of conscience and cruelty in this world.
