Artificial intelligence (AI) technology provided by Flock Safety, an Atlanta-based company, helped the Blue Springs Police Department in Missouri arrest a murder suspect. The AI-equipped camera system, similar to license plate readers, strategically placed at high-traffic intersections and popular locations, aided in identifying the suspect's vehicle based on characteristics such as make, model, and distinguishing features. Human analysts then examined the snapshots for a more precise match with a license plate. The responsible use of AI technology was crucial in assisting the investigation and led to the arrest of Marquis Earl-Lee Savannah on a warrant for first-degree murder.
