In the early 1990's, Alan Leppard and Brenda Long had just started their new life together in Monkton in Thanet in Kent. They were both divorced from previous partners and knew that they had finally found the right one for them. On Easter Monday 1991, the couple had been having a quiet night in when a surprise knock on the door broke the silence. Alan went down to answer it and Brenda soon found him staggering back into the house. He had been shot on the doorstep. Police searched for any motive for the murder but found none. Just 8 months later Brenda herself would be dead, were these two deaths linked and if so, why?
