Snow was on the ground, a chill was in the air, and Christmas was all around.

I put on my boots and hat, zipped up my coat, and headed into the cold to check my mailbox. When I opened it, I found some flyers, a gift I had ordered for my mom, and a handful of Christmas cards friends and family who still hold on to the traditional way of staying connected.

My grandma scribbled her name on one, my friend Craig sent me his regards along with an updated family photo, but there was one I couldn’t immediately identify that looked a little thicker than the rest.

The name on the front of the envelope wasn't that legible, so I opened it still not knowing who exactly it was from.

inside, was a very typical Christmas card... decorated with a little church and a stylized font wishing Christmas Blessings.

overall very typical… until I opened it.

Inside, I saw a card completely covered with barely legible writing, and a separate multipage letter covered with the same scribbled text. Just as I began contemplating who sent such a bizarre card I noticed the only piece of easily legible writing.
