Last episode of season 1! This week we're talking about the 2006 Korean movie The Host, directed by Bong Joon-ho, who you might have known through his Oscar-winning movie Parasite. This black comedy featured a monster kidnapping a man's daughter, and his attempts to rescue her. One of the highest-grossing South Korean films of all time, The Host was partly inspired by an incident in 2000 involving a Korean mortician dumping toxic chemicals down the drain, as ordered by their US military superiors.
