America's Cup history is littered with famous comeback stories and we could be witnessing another one after American Magic's mended boat returned to the water.
After ten days of repair work following its spectacular capsize, a new-look "Patriot" was tested on Waitamata Harbour ahead of the Prada Cup semi-final showdown with Italy's Luna Rosa.
One striking change was a message painted on the side of the hull. The words "Thank You" were emblazoned on band-aid imagery, featuring the flags of rivals New Zealand, Italy and Great Britain.
