Please know this is not about pointing fingers and blaming anyone, Deborah believes that the people who raised you did the best they could do, at least in most cases, so it's not about assigning anyone blame. It's all about accepting things for how they are and learning from them.
Circumstances that play out in our lives teach us all sorts of things, and there is nothing more pivotal than the first influences whose own experiences, including their fears and concerns, are passed on to us. When we are really small we have no way of knowing what works and what doesn't so we have no choice but to accept things as they are as if the way they are, is the way they will always be!
