Queensland’s best bowls and surf clubs have been awarded with The Sands Bowlo, located in Sandgate, taking out the top gong thanks to it's 'vibrancy'.

Other standout venues included Caboolture Sports Club, Club Services Ipswich and the Mooloolba Surf Club.

Clubs Queensland CEO Kelly Egan told Peter Fegan on 4BC Breakfast, "So we had 330 nominations from 70 different clubs, an outstanding effort and it's an opportunity to reward what they do."

"When you talk about community clubs, you're talking about $560 million a year being put back into communities by grants and facilities management and employment." Mr. Egan said.
