In this episode of No Need For Postcards, kicking off series two, I speak to Anne Marie Wells. Anne Marie's experience of solo travelling has led to an extended journey long after she flew home. Her travel memoir Happy Iceland, tells of her unique five week trip to Iceland where she went against the norm, used her instinct to speak to local people, listened carefully to what they had to say to lead her to interesting places around the country. Anne Marie's journey to get Happy Iceland published is still on-going and yet after many long years, she talks about her solo travel experience with such love and gratitude. Her message is to break boundaries, appreciate small moments and to believe in the kindness of people. All things we should aspire to do, I think.
