One day a few years back, tennis player Sandy Farquharson was tapped on the shoulder to step in for a padel player who had dropped out of a tournament. Sandy had never played padel, and like the vast majority of people in the English-speaking world, didn't even know the sport existed. Turns out, he was kind of a natural. So now he runs the only English coaching program for padel. He's got a website. He's on YouTube. He also has courses, a podcast, an Instagram page, and a bunch of questions about the best way to grow. We chat about coaching, Teachable, lessons from Will it Fly?, and Betsy McNally, from AP 1117. Learn something new every day.If you enjoyed today's episode and you love the format of this show and helping other entrepreneurs, can you help me convince others to listen, too? Some of those hats are awesome, but some—like filing for taxes and running payroll, for example—aren't as great. That's where Gusto comes in. They make payroll, taxes, and HR easy for small businesses. My team uses it, and we can't live without it. You can get three months free when you run your first payroll.
