Wow, another Everything and the Kitchen Sink and this one is packed with some serious new bands!! Also I went down the nostalgia lane with MVM and Ride. Sometimes the 90's still kicks ass. Well my version of the 90's which is probably not the same as yours. In other cool news Everything and the Kitchen Sink is now available on Stitcher! That's right if you hate iTunes, Soundcloud, the RSS feed, you have Stitcher to add to your fuck it, I don't want to listen that way.

Your other options for older shows are the mixlr showreel and spreaker ( I think that's still available) Go to the website EatKS.net for all that nonsense.

Some cool stuff that I mentioned on the show. It's nice to know that there's still a Riot grrrl type of community out there that still challenges ideals, gender stereotypes, and create awareness of rape culture. Check out the band RVIVR's website for some interesting articles etc.

Something else that I have noticed is that yes music podcasting is possibly the new version of college radio. I did a tweet out a few weeks ago asking for suggestions for women that did podcasts either comedy or music. I have to say that I was a little taken back by the lack of suggestions for women only podcasters. Then I stumbled on this article about women hosted podcasts and it made sense . If anything what I hope that you get from this is that if you are listening to a podcast whatever the fuck it maybe- Show your support however you can. Even if it's just telling a friend, giving back some positive feedback.

Podcasts take time and money and it's a lot of work to promote and get it out there.

And nothing pissed me off more than this quote from the article :Benjamen Walker (Too Much Information) – one of just three men who responded to my questions – answered in one frank sentence: “Women aren’t stupid enough to slave away on a podcast for no money.”

I slave away on a podcast for no money because I love sharing music that much and because terrestrial radio sucks ass.
