The Jews had been invested more in the Kingdom than the Gentiles. They were not grafted in, but were in fact the native branches on the Tree of God. Through Israel's disobedience they were not spared from judgment. If God did not spare Israel, He will not spare the Gentiles either (This is only referring to those who profess salvation).
