Introducing the Art Block podcast, a monthly podcast featuring interviews of emerging artists from the Los Angeles community.
Art Block: Season 1; Episode 3 features LA-based artist, Darrell Fusaro (@FOOZARO) in conversation with our co-hosts, Luis and Abraham.
Darrell Fusaro, also known as Foozaro, has had a long history in the arts and entertainment industry; one of stumbling optimistically from one adventure to the next. His art has been exhibited with the iconic Andy Warhol, he created miniature FX for the blockbuster, “Con Air”, and he was producer of the Emmy-nominated “Local Edition” on CNN. He is author of “What if Godzilla Just Wanted a Hug? Leading with the Heart Instead of the Chin” and the just released, “Break Out of Your Box: Be Your Heroic Self”.
Currently, Darrell is co-hosting the internationally popular podcast "Funniest Thing! with Darrell and Ed," where he shares his unique perspective on life along with creative and practical solutions to everyday problems with his audience.
He attributes his success to his mindset, which coincides with DSTL Arts: Develop Skills and Transcend Limits through the Arts. Throughout his lifetime, Foozaro has relied on art making to improve his mental health and attitude, as well as a method to overcome obstacles, solve problems, and enjoy his heart’s desires. Foozaro teaches and encourages others through his workshops to experience the benefits of art-making in the same way.
