He is a visual artist and one of the survivors of 5 so-called industrial schools.

In Robert´s artwork, you see many symbolic drawings that reflect on the injuries and sufferings by the religious state orders were children taken from their families and controlled by great fears to this very day. Robert still believes survivors are still held to the same feared orders.

After suffering serious abuse in the Music Room of Artane, Robert after 50 years has finally ventured into learning how to write songs, playing the guitar, making videos, and singing during the present Pandemic year.

Robert is a self-educated man who through good friends gained the confidence to go to college and university to achieve a full diploma and BA Honours. Robert to this day has continued learning how to support his fellow brothers and sisters of the institutions as an activist for truth. Art went through the veins of his life and gave him the ability to express his feelings with various mediums of art. Robert strongly believes that it was Art that carried him from his childhood to the present day. Many artists say they suffer for their art. This is one man who survived through his art.

Ed Harper, the blind goat-herder of Cape Clear and convener of West Cork People Before Profit (PBP) has raised goats on Cape Clear Island for more than 42 years. Cape Clear sits at the entrance to Roaringwater Bay in West Cork and is one of Ireland’s larger inhabited islands. The Cleire Goats farm also has a small shop that sells goat ice cream, cottage cheese. It is an eco-friendly farm near Cape Clear Heritage Center, church, and island walking trails. The farm is situated uphill from the village and reachable by walking from the ferry boat.

Stuart Wilde is an Irish singer/songwriter based in West Cork.He trained as a recording engineer in Dublin, and later in composition with Austrian composer Karl Stirner.

In 2011 Stuart released his first album The Black Crow with German violinist Kathryn Doehner. For his second album, Devil In My House, Stuart teamed up with brother and drummer John Wilde and bass player Rik Appleby.

Mikael Fernström is one of the original members of the Interaction Design Centre. He was Director of the IDC between 2010 and 2020 and a lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems at the University of Limerick between 1996 and 2020. He has retired from UL and is now working independently, based in West Cork. ArTEEtude is based in West Cork´s and combines art, fashion, design and podcast. All exclusive created and produced by visual artist Detlef Schlich. He will dive and discover with us and Phil Wolff into the unknown and exciting deep ocean of the creative mind. In these three podcast episodes, Wolff and Schlich talk about his childhood and early inspiration in Cologne, Germany. They will talk about his life and experience in Spain, Mallorca. About the obstacles and how to survive as a music producer, painter and Rock´n Roller with his Rolling Stones Cover Band, the struggling to get up every morning at seven after a long night gigging. Eventually, they will speak about Wolff´s future challenge to move over to Norway starting a new life after 20 years living in Spain and more. At the end of each episode, we will listen to one of Phil Woff´s songs.

Schlich is Visual Artist, Film Maker and Ritual Designer, living and loving in West Cork and best known for his Essay about the Cause and Effect of Shamanism, Art and Digital Culture and the video installation Transodin´s Tragedy. He is mainly working in the field of performance, photography, painting, sound, installations, and film. To research our human condition and create artwork from this reflection he is using often the methodology of the digital shaman as alter ego.
