Typicial Palahniuk...
Amusing isn't the right word, but it's the first word that comes to mind. The tale of a sex addict con artist whose daytime job is in a Colonial-period theme park and whose night job is choking in restaurants to pay for his mother's nursing home care. In typical Palahniuk style, it's at turns disturbing, insightful, interesting, funny and off-putting, but always worth reading.
Am I the only one who felt this way?
first off, i actually did enjoy this book. It was extremely entertaining and the plot(s) were very interesting. Yet, it lacked something. A few days after finishing it, i discussed it with a few friends. thats when i realized what i didnt like about it. first, there wasnt really much of a climax and two, i thought that the ending could have been so much better. it really had one of the lamest endings ive ever read. i really dont see why book stores are advertizing the hell out of this book. yes, chuck is an amazing writer and his books are filled with humor, strange, quirky factsand interesting plots, but this book just wasnt what it was built up to be i guess
The most clever Palahniuk Novel Ever?
Let me start off by saying that chuck palahniuk is a genius. This novel may be the best novel he has/will ever write. It's clever, sick, funny, and mysterious all at the same time. Greatness isn't the right word, but it's the first thing that comes to my mind.
