Aston Villa had an action-packed transfer window, signing major talents like Coutinho, Lucas Digne, Calum Chambers, Kerr Smith and Robin Olsen. The club added a mix of proven quality, versatility and potential.

Villa also saw a few major outgoings. Anwar El Ghazi joined Everton on loan, whilst Matt Targett moved to Newcastle until the end of the season.

Highly-rated youth players Louie Barry, Arjan Raikhy, Tyreik Wright, Jaden Philogene-Bidace, Cameron Archer and Kaine Kesler-Hayden also moved out on loan to gain more experience.
