While the search for a full-time chancellor gets underway,guiding UW-Eau Claire the last several months has been Michael Carney.  An alum of the school, who has worked invarious roles at the university for 25 years, he has been the steward in an interim role.  He originally worked inprivate business after college, but a self-described “mid-life crisis” led to a career shift to entering academia.  Evenin his current role, he still teaches a class maintaining a connection to those roots.
