We all have a past filled with a wide range of experiences. Some you may be proud of, others you may now ask yourself what on earth you were ever thinking.

You may have regrets for past actions or inactions, for conversations and words said in haste, for behaviours that now make you cringe.

You did the best you could with the information you had.

Or at least you would do things differently now.

Your past has shaped you, but it doesn’t have to define you.

Focus on who you are now and who you’re becoming.

Be loyal to the future vision you have for yourself and your life.

You cannot change the choices you made in the past, but you can change those behaviours, and make different choices as you move forward.

Pause, and take a breath. As you recommit to your future.

More important than the ‘things’ that you want for that future, focus on the feelings and values that you want front and centre of your life.

Who do you want to become, how do you want to contribute, what are your days filled with?

Allow these dreams and feelings to become part of your everyday life right now, today.

Allow them to expand and grow as they pull you forward, rather than being pulled back and stuck in the past.

Pause, and take a breath. As you allow your future to inspire you forwards.
