There are things that distinguish MAGA for me, and support of Trump is one.

The second involves two things: First, you must believe that the 2020 election was stolen and voter fraud is real. Second, you must believe that J6 was contrived by Democrats.

What is our belief system? I saw article that I want to discuss and like the panic happening in CA in the governor’s race, and possibly for LA mayor. But a bigger issue is looming, and one that would collapse the Democrat at their core.

And it involves two lies they have promoted for over a decade. First, about the election of 2020 and that of J6.

And these lies come down to a fundamental question of belief systems.

There are moments in history when a country argues over taxes, budgets, or foreign policy. Then there are moments when a country argues over reality itself. America has entered the second category.

We aren’t simply debating policies anymore. We are debating first principles, foundational truths, and whether this nation is fundamentally a Constitutional Republic or just a giant emotional suggestion box with Wi-Fi. 🇺🇸

Conservatives understand something the Founders understood with crystal clarity: America was never intended to be a pure democracy. In fact, the men who built this country feared pure democracy almost as much as they feared tyranny. They had studied history. They knew democracies eventually collapse into mob rule, where rights become temporary privileges granted by whichever crowd screams the loudest that week.

That’s why they created a Constitutional Republic. The Constitution exists as a restraint on government power. It is a chain around the neck of political ambition. It says there are certain rights no majority can vote away. Freedom of speech does not disappear because a poll changes. The right to bear arms does not expire because suburban wine clubs become nervous. Due process does not evaporate because Twitter activists start hyperventilating into their ring lights.

But modern Leftists increasingly view America as a direct democracy, where emotion becomes law and public outrage becomes policy. If enough people chant something loudly enough, then apparently reality itself can be rewritten like a Wikipedia entry edited by sociology majors during finals week.

And that brings us to H. L. Mencken, who delivered one of the most brutally accurate observations ever written about democracy:

“Democracy is a pathetic belief in the collective wisdom of individual ignorance.”

That line wasn’t just clever. It was prophetic.

Because today we live in a culture where people who cannot define inflation want to redesign capitalism. People who think math is oppressive want to control the economy. People who need therapy after hearing an opposing opinion believe they should determine what qualifies as misinformation.

Mencken understood a truth that modern America desperately tries to avoid: ignorance does not become intelligence simply because it gathers in large numbers. If ten people who can’t cook form a committee, you don’t get a master chef. You get salmonella with meeting minutes. 🍳
