Soul Food Sisters is a collective based in Glasgow and is run by migrant women who are driven by their love of making and sharing delicious food. The not for profit organisation brings together women from all over the world to share recipes and ideas, with the aim of ending social isolation through empowering women to develop their skills in both the kitchen and beyond. In collaboration with Bella Caledonia, we got the chance to speak with their volunteer coordinator, Djamila Siagh, to discuss the work of the organisation and the value and power of food and community. Produced by Amanda Stanley and Kate Bailey. Music and branding by HQFU. Soul Food Sisters: soulfoodsisters.org // IG: @soulfoodsisters_
