At 41 years old, with no cartilage in one knee, and a hamstring that tore right off the bone on the other leg, O'Dell Manuel had to make some hard decisions. Pressure to retire was heavy, and more than reasonable. Doctors said he would never return to form. But he would be doing so having never won "the BIG one".  In the untested Super heavyweight division, it got no bigger than the Big Dogs event.

Win or lose, O'Dell promised his loved ones he would retire after one last try. For the first time,  all his family showed for the event. What took place at Big Dogs 4 became the stuff of legend.

From a thousand pounds flying over his head,  almost bombing out on bench, to the dramatic last Deadlift...it was the perfect ending to a remarkable comeback story.
